Graphs show that during the month of July, temperatures ranged above normal over most of Wyoming except for much above normal readings over the northeast, southeast, and southwest corners of the state. Precipitation was general below normal over most of the state except for some above normal totals over the interior of Wyoming. Modeled soil moisture showed no significant worsening of conditions across the Wyoming Rockies. The latest Drought Monitor map shows only slight worsening conditions over south central and southeastern Wyoming.
Pasturelands (by area) worsened 13% during the month. Good to excellent rating was 53% while poor to very poor was 17% by month's end. The end of July streamflow (7-day average) was near or above normal for most stations with the exception of below normal readings over northern Wyoming. Overall, the drought monitor map shows slight worsening drought since last month over south central and southeast Wyoming.
Weather Summary: For the week ending Friday, July 8th, temperatures ranged from 1.3°F below normal in Jackson to 3.9°F above normal in Evanston. The high temperature was 103°F in Sundance and the low was 31°F in Jackson. More dry conditions continue. Archer had the most precipitation with 0.26 inches followed by Newcastle with 0.21 inches and Torrington with 0.19 inches.
Weather Summary: For the week ending Friday, July 15th, temperatures ranged from 3.6°F above normal in Worland to 9.2°F above normal in Sundance. The high temperature was 107°F in Sheridan and the low was 35°F in Jackson. Hot temperatures and little precipitation continued. Cheyenne had the most precipitation with 0.59 inches followed by Wheatland with 0.36 inches and Jackson with 0.30 inches.
Weather Summary: For the week ending Friday, July 22th, temperatures ranged from 2.2°F above normal in Worland to 7.7°F above normal in Big Piney. The high temperature was 106°F in both Dillinger and Newcastle and the low was 33°F in Jackson. Most locations had high's approaching or exceeding 100°F. Measurable precipitation was reported only in Archer with 0.50 inches, Cheyenne with 0.16 inches, and Afton with 0.06 inches.
Weather Summary: For the week ending Friday, July 29th, temperatures ranged from 2.4°F above normal in Saratoga to 3.6°F below normal in Casper. The high temperature was 103°F in both Torrington and Wheatland and the low was 31°F in Jackson. Eastern Wyoming received mostly above normal precipitation. Torrington reported the most precipitation with 2.21 inches, Newcastle reported 1.83 inches, 1.33 inches in Casper, and 1.23 inches in Douglas.

A record high of 96°F was set on the 22nd. Precipitation total of 2.59 inches is 115% of normal. The wettest day in the was on the 15th (0.81 inch fell).

The maximum temperature for the month was 93°F on the 22nd (record for the day) and the minimum of 39°F occurred on the 4th. Another record high occurred on the 16th of 91°F. Precipitation total of 0.97 inch is 62% of normal. The wettest day in the was on the 23rd (0.49 inch fell).
