Statewide Summary
Temperatures generally ranged from 4°F to 6°F above normal across the state. Precipitation ranged from 21 percent of normal in Cheyenne to 442 percent of normal in Worland. The drought has worsened across all of Wyoming and is at exceptional (1 percentile) level over the southern quarter of the state.
Cheyenne
The average temperature in July was 73.5°F. This is 5.8°F warmer than normal and represents the second warmest July on record (since 1895). The July record is 74.4°F in 1966. The maximum temperature for the month was 98°F on the 31st (record for the day) and the minimum of 51°F occurred on the 22nd. Another record high temperature occurred on the 1st (97°F). During July, two days with 97°F or high temperatures occurred and this represents only the 16th and 17th time since 1873 that it has been this hot in Cheyenne. Precipitation total of 0.48 inch is 21 percent of normal and is the driest June in 108 years of record keeping.

Laramie
The average temperature in July was 67.5°F. This is 4.3°F above normal for the month (third warmest since 1949). The maximum for the month was 93°F on the 1st (record for the day) and the minimum of 43°F occurred on the 12th and 29th. Other record high temperatures occurred on the 2nd (91°F), 14th (91°F tied), 15th (91°F), 17th (90°F tied), 18th (89°F tied), 19th (90°F) and 31st (90°F). Precipitation total of 0.50 inch is 32 percent of normal and is the 5th driest July since 1949.
Rawlins
The average temperature in July was 70.9°F. This is 3.0°F warmer than normal. The maximum temperature for the month was 97°F on the 8th (record for the day) and the minimum of 47°F occurred on the 12th and 27th. Other record high temperatures occurred on the 1st (94°F), 2nd (93°F tied), 9th (93°F tied), 13th (94°F), 15th (97°F), and 16th (95°F tied), . Precipitation total of 0.53 inch is 59 percent of normal.
Rock Springs
The average temperature in July was 72.8°F. This is 6.0°F warmer than normal and represents the warmest July on record (since 1949). The maximum temperature for the month was 98°F on the 13th and the minimum of 49°F occurred on the 26th and 28th. Other record high temperature occurred on 96°F (8th), 95°F (12th), 96°F (14th and 15th) and 94°F (16th). Precipitation total of 0.55 inch is 59 percent of normal.
Evanston
The average temperature in July was 69.4°F. This is 7.0°F warmer than normal and represents the warmest July on record (since 1898). The maximum temperature for the month was 96°F on the 13th (record for the day) and the minimum of 47°F occurred on the 26th. Other record high temperatures occurred on the 12th (93°F tied) and 14th (94°F). Precipitation total of 0.35 inch is 38 percent of normal and is tied for the 4th lowest July total since 1949.
Big Piney
The average temperature in July was 65.4°F. This is 5.0°F warmer than normal. The maximum temperature for the month was 96°F on the 13th and 14th (record for the day) and the minimum of 37°F occurred on the 27th and 28th. Other record high temperatures occurred on 8th (92°F), 9th (91°F), 10th (91°F tied), 11th (92°F), 12th (94°F), 15th (91°F tied) and 16th (90°F) since 1949. Precipitation total of 0.58 inch is 67 percent of normal.
Lander
The average temperature in July was 74.9°F. This is 4.0°F warmer than normal and represents the second warmest July since 1949 . The maximum temperature for the month was 101°F on the 14th (record for the day) and the minimum of 47°F occurred on the 14th. Other record high temperatures occurred on 8th (100°F) and 13th (100°F). Precipitation total of 0.98 inch is 117 percent of normal.

Riverton
The average temperature in July was 75.1°F. This is 4.9°F warmer than normal and represents the second warmest July since 1949 . The maximum temperature for the month were 100°F (8th, 13th, and 14th) (records for the day) and the minimum of 50°F occurred on the 28th. Precipitation total of 0.93 inch is 127 percent of normal.
Worland
The average temperature in July was 75.3°F. This is 0.9°F warmer than normal. The maximum temperature for the month was 105°F (record for the day and month) on the 14th, and the minimum of 51°F occurred on the 27th-29th. The 105°F temperature is the highest recorded in July since 1919. Other record high temperatures occurred on the 13th and 15th (tied) (102°F), and 16th (98°F tied) . Precipitation total of 1.99 inches is a remarkable 442 percent of normal and yet is only the 6th wettest July since 1919.
Sheridan
The average temperature in July was 74.8°F. This is 6.0°F warmer than normal. The maximum temperature for the month was 107°F on the 14th (record for the day and month) and the minimum of 47°F occurred on the 11th. Other record high temperatures occurred on 12th (104°F), 13th (105°F), and 15th (100°F). Precipitation total of 1.96 inches is 177 percent of normal and is the 10th wettest July since 1949.

Casper
The average temperature in July was 73.5°F and is 3.5°F warmer than normal. The maximum temperature for the month was 100°F on the 13th and the minimum of 49°F occurred on the 10th, 29th, and 30th. A record high temperature occurred on the 15th (99°F). Precipitation total of 1.07 inches is 83 percent of normal.
