The Wyoming Water Bibliography
Example Queries
- You are looking for documents on seeps or springs. This is a simple
one; your query would be:
seep spring
and you would select the Descriptive Keyword and the Title fields,
leaving the rest set to no.
- If you are interested in documents in Laramie, not Fort Laramie, that deal with the
quality of water, your query string would look
like:
+quality +laramie -fort
and you would have the Descriptive Keyword, Geographic Areas and
Document Title buttons set to yes and the rest no.
- You are interested in all documents written by Philip Sheridan that
do not deal with fish, but do relate to pesticides in well water. This
query would look like:
+sheridan +pesticides +well -fish
and yes would be selected for Descriptive Keywords, Title and Author
with the rest being set to no.
This will force the search to look for pesticides, well and sheridan
in the Title, as one of the Descriptive Keywords, or as the Author. If the word
fish is found in the Title, as a Descriptive Keyword, or as an Author,
the citation will not be retrieved.
This query will not find any documents in the current Water Bib.
- You're looking for
documents dealing with fish in the Snake River. This query would
look like:
+fish +"snake river"
and you would have the Descriptive Keywords, Geographic Areas, and Title fields set to yes and the rest to no
